A ‘customised unique state’ print is the same limited edition print set (all four prints) but you are requesting to have 22k gold leaf applied in selected areas by the Artist himself. I have made some videos on my Instagram to explain my process. Please read the Terms and Conditions of the website for more information.

The Amulet
Each order includes a 2.5-2.8cm ceramic amulet, crafted from Western Australian stoneware clay. Choose styles A, B, or C at checkout. Attached to leather with adjustable knots, it's a creative homage to the Ancient World in War & Peace 2023 editions. May it enhance your creativity and imagination.

These four paintings are one set of four prints from my visual essay in VALA Issue 4 (November 2023) the journal of The Blake Society in London, UK. Written for an international audience, it is a comparative reflection on William Blake's rather unconventional 1790s poem The Marriage of Heaven and Hell and the UK Defence Doctrine 2022 (UKDD), together with some French philosophical concepts which, all together, create an alternate lens on new capabilities (such as AI) amidst current global, geopolitical tensions rapidly engulfing both Europe & the Asia-Pacific (or Indo-Pacific) in 2023/24.

My 3500 word essay offers ideas, images and a meditative amulet to expands options to war and peace-making. As a ‘manual’, it may help you to navigate your own personal public and private narratives around what is Good and Evil. I hope it engages with people both in the military & civil society as well as writers, theologians and defence policy makers. This theme continues my work from my 2012 international workshop Hitting The Target in the UK.

VALA launches on 29th November, 2023 and you can read a pdf version at The Blake Society website.

22k gold leaf customised unique state prints

In this unique state set of the same four giclée prints you can order a customised version where the Artist applies 22k gold leaf over the printed gold areas. It is another layer of hand-painting over the print, and has a ‘painterly’ quality & each will be slightly different. I only offer 17 initially, because they take more time to apply & dry. You can watch a video of some of the techniques I use with gold leaf on my Instagram.
